Where does your strength lie?

Hello my brothers and sisters. Long time no talk. I went to wish all of my brothers and sisters a Merry Christmas and safe New Year. A lot of times our strength depends on our circumstances and not what we believe. Nehemiah 8:10 says the joy of the Lord is our strength, but if we get a good parking space, if we get the job promotion, if everything goes perfect in our household, if we had a bigger house or bigger car, or in my case if everything go my way in here, but those are only temporary strengths. Our strength comes from the Lord. Daniel strength was the Lord when he was in the burning fiery furnace. David strength was in the Lord when he defeated Goliath. Saul strength was in the Lord when he was in the shipwreck. All of these brothers did not have perfect circumstances, yet they never complained and they never gave up. When the joy of the Lord is your strength your circumstances don’t shake you or hinder your. Daniel, David, and Saul believed the Lord for they strength and we all know the results. Keep believing the Lord for your strength in all your circumstances, he will see you through.

What Are You Creating?

What I am about to share hit home with me. When I were young I never were able to express myself, to my mother, grandparents, or adults over me, because they were either too busy or they always said to me, you talk too much, by this it shut my voice down with them, but created me to talk, without valuing someone else's voice. 

Fast forward about 20 years ago I were talking, and to be honest about nothing and the brother gave me life-changing advice, he said you can't be learning anything, because you always talking. He created a different perspective on the value of listening and gleaning from others. He taught me to hear The voices of others to help me mature and grow. He created me to gain experience and wisdom I would have never had. Looking back my voice became more powerful due to listening more to people, which helps them to tap into their greatness too. Now what that brother created for me I am able to create for others a safe place to express their needs without fear or judgment.
