The Case for Rocky Myers

"We are thankfully still without an execution date for Rocky. But that means we are still working toward presenting a clemency request to Governor Robert Bentley.

For those of you keeping up with the case and interested in learning more, these documents are the testimony from witnesses at trial and any prior police statements made by those witnesses. In later posts, we will include additional information showing retractions made by a pivotal witness, Marzell Ewing.

Mr. Ewing’s testimony was particularly damning because he is the only witness who identified Rocky as having traded the victim’s VCR for crack on the night of the murder, who knew Rocky and identified Rocky as his friend. Beyond retractions by Mr. Ewing, we will also provide other information that all points to the fact that Rocky did not commit this crime, and at a minimum should be spared the death penalty.  Please read and share this information.
